It can be used to treat dehydration and replace lost body fluids and salts. The solution helps replenish extracellular fluids and restore electrolyte balance in the body, particularly in cases of sodium and chloride deficiencies. ISOTONIC SODIUM CHLORIDE is also used for the dilution of certain intravenous medicines in concentrated form before intravenous administration.
